Medical Illustrations of Dorothy Sturm
Posted on Tuesday July 22, 2008 | Categories: News
In June 2008 Walter W. Diggs, the son of Lemuel W. Diggs, M.D., gave 57 watercolor images of normal and abnormal blood cells to the Health Sciences Historical Collections. The images were composed and painted by the Memphis artist Dorothy Sturm in the 1960s, and were commissioned by Dr. Diggs to use as educational tools for faculty and students. An online exhibit of the watercolor images is now available for viewing on the Health Sciences Library's web site. Let us know what you think!
